Leadership

	Kris Karns is now Acuity Hospital South Texas CEO, Kris brings to Acuity Healthcare and Acuity of South Texas Significant hospital management experience. His education includes a BS in Health Information Administration from Indiana University School of Medicine, an MBA from Indiana University, and PhD in Healthcare Administration from Kennedy - Western University. In addition, he has prior experience as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at White County Memorial Hospital in Monticello, Indiana, and holds fellowship certification in both American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
	Wayne Hegwood was named CFO for AHST in January of 2012.
	Veronica Velentzas was named Director  of Provider Relations on February 12, 2009. Veronica has over 13 years experience in Healthcare Marketing and Sales. She has been a licensed respiratory therapist for 13 years has primarily worked as Clinical Liaison in an LTAC for 10 years, before coming to Acuity, Veronica  worked in a  Rehab Facility . She is currently a member of the Hispanic Medical Professions, The National Hispanic Professional Organization and The Case Management Society of South Texas.
	Dr. Lovelesh Manocha, Board Certified in Internal Medicine.  He has served as Medical Director with Acuity Hospital of South Texas since our opening in July 2008.  He is an important part of the Acuity Hospital team and serves on several committes with in the hospital.
	Yolanda Ochoa has been in the Human Resource field for over 15+ years and has a wide range of Human Resource work experience.  Yolanda has her certification as a Professional in Human Resources since 1/01/2008.    Her experience ranges from Employee Relations, Medical Staff Services, Recruitment and HR Department Development.  She has also serviced as Safety Officer and Environment of Care Manager.
